Ingredients

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  6. Create an indentation in the center of each ball.
  7. Fill each indentation with about a teaspoon of apple butter.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
