Description
A comforting blend of creamy cheesecake and warm apple crisp with a delightful texture contrast, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
- Optional: Caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
- In a skillet, mix the sliced apples with cinnamon and brown sugar, then layer them over the cheesecake mixture.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, flour, and melted butter to form the streusel topping. Sprinkle it evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Allow the cheesecake to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
- Before serving, drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
Chill overnight for better flavor integration. Avoid overmixing the cream cheese to keep your cheesecake fluffy.
