Description

A delightful combination of fluffy biscuits and sweet apples, this Apple Pie Monkey Bread offers a cozy twist on classic apple pie, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 2 cups of chopped apples
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon together until well combined.
  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters and toss the pieces in the brown sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  4. In a greased bundt pan, layer half of the biscuit pieces, then add half of the chopped apples.
  5. Repeat the layering process with the remaining biscuit pieces and apples.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter and pour in the vanilla extract over the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for about 10 minutes, then invert the bundt pan onto a plate to remove the monkey bread.
  9. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with milk to create a glaze and drizzle it over the monkey bread before serving.

Notes

For a more complex flavor profile, use a mix of sweet and tart apples. Adjust the cinnamon based on preference.
