Description

A comforting and nostalgic green bean casserole made with cream of mushroom soup and topped with crispy French fried onions, perfect for family gatherings and holiday celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can green beans, drained
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk together until well combined.
  3. Stir in the drained green beans, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fold in half of the French fried onions.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 1-quart casserole dish.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with the remaining French fried onions.
  8. Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Avoid overmixing to maintain the texture of the green beans. Check doneness towards the end of baking time to prevent burning the onions.
