Description
Delicious bars featuring a graham cracker crust, cream cheese layer with apples, and a swirl of caramel, perfect for fall desserts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped apples (such as Granny Smith)
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chopped apples and cinnamon. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top and swirl it in with a knife.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until the center is mostly set but still slightly jiggly.
- Allow to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the cream cheese and eggs to prevent cracks. For clean slices, chill thoroughly and use a hot knife.
