Description

A rich and indulgent baked pasta dish featuring bowtie pasta, savory Italian beef marinara, and a creamy Velveeta cheese sauce that warms the soul.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, then add in the cooked pasta, mixing well to combine.
  5. In a saucepan, combine the Velveeta cheese and heavy cream over low heat until melted and smooth, stirring frequently.
  6. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta mixture and gently stir to combine. Avoid overmixing!
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
