- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, then add in the cooked pasta, mixing well to combine.
- In a saucepan, combine the Velveeta cheese and heavy cream over low heat until melted and smooth, stirring frequently.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta mixture and gently stir to combine. Avoid overmixing!
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
