Description
Delicious and easy creamy oven-baked chicken thighs, enveloped in a rich garlic sauce with Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer before returning the chicken. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
