Description

Sweet blueberry cookies that are tender and bursting with flavor, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden and tops are set.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use fresh blueberries. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
