- 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole grain)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)
- Optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined.
- Butter one side of each bread slice liberally with the garlic butter mixture.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over the bread in the skillet.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the other side is golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet, let cool slightly, then slice in half.
- Optional: garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
