Description

Indulge in a warm, gooey grilled cheese enveloped in a fragrant garlic butter crust, perfect for cozy meals or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole grain)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite blend)
  • Optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice liberally with the garlic butter mixture.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the skillet.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over the bread in the skillet.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown on the bottom.
  8. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the other side is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the skillet, let cool slightly, then slice in half.
  10. Optional: garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking to prevent hard bread. Work in batches for multiple sandwiches.
