Description

These 5-ingredient fluffy gluten-free biscuits are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or as a side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Gluten-Free All-Purpose Flour Blend (with xanthan gum)
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Cold Butter, cubed or grated
  • 3/4 cup Milk (or Dairy-Free Alternative)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the milk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 3/4-inch thick rectangle.
  6. Use a biscuit cutter or a sharp knife to cut out the biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. (Optional) Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the dough. Check doneness by lightly tapping the tops; they should feel slightly firm.
