Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  7. In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  8. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  9. Slice the rested chicken and return it to the skillet, tossing it to coat in the creamy sauce.
  10. Plate the creamy linguine and top it with the garlic butter chicken. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the chicken to maintain its juiciness. For variations, consider adding vegetables or using gluten-free pasta.
