  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup hot honey
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: breadcrumbs, parsley

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the macaroni according to package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour, stirring continuously for about 1 minute until bubbly but not browned.
  3. Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens and comes to a simmer.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in the shredded chicken and hot honey until everything is well incorporated.
  6. Fold in the cooked macaroni and season with salt and pepper to taste. Make sure everything is evenly mixed without overdoing it to maintain texture.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. If desired, top with breadcrumbs and additional cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve warm.
