Description

A warm, savory seafood cioppino bursting with the flavors of the sea, perfect for gatherings and family meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound cod, cut into chunks
  • 1 pound mussels, cleaned
  • 1 pound clams, cleaned
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 cups seafood stock
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, seafood stock, and red pepper flakes, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the shrimp, cod, mussels, and clams to the pot.
  5. Cover and cook until the seafood is cooked through and the shells have opened, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcooking seafood to preserve its juiciness; discard any mussels or clams that don’t open while cooking.
