- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter (about 76 g)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (about 120 g)
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the maple syrup, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
- Finally, add the flour and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For the best results, use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture. Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature.
