Description

A comforting dessert that blends creamy mascarpone cheese with tender apples and a crunchy oat crumble.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • Vanilla extract to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar. Set it aside to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and mix until crumbly. Reserve half for the topping.
  4. Add mascarpone cheese and egg to the remaining mixture, blending until smooth.
  5. Pour the mascarpone mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Layer the spiced apples on top.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved crumble over the apples, ensuring an even distribution.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy every bite!
