Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup sugar (divided)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the peaches in the baking dish.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
If using especially juicy peaches, toss them with cornstarch to prevent a runny cobbler. Grease the baking dish lightly for extra browning.
