Description
A refreshing peach sorbet bursting with the sweetness of perfectly ripened peaches, perfect for summer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish or a splash of vodka for an adult version
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved. Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool.
- While the syrup cools, place the diced peaches and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
- Once the sugar syrup has cooled, mix it into the peach puree until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency (usually about 20-25 minutes).
- Transfer the sorbet into an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-3 hours until firm.
Notes
For the best flavor, choose ripe and fragrant peaches. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
