Description

A refreshing peach sorbet bursting with the sweetness of perfectly ripened peaches, perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Optional: Fresh mint leaves for garnish or a splash of vodka for an adult version

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved. Once dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool.
  2. While the syrup cools, place the diced peaches and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
  3. Once the sugar syrup has cooled, mix it into the peach puree until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency (usually about 20-25 minutes).
  5. Transfer the sorbet into an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-3 hours until firm.

Notes

For the best flavor, choose ripe and fragrant peaches. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
