Description

A warm and comforting pecan pie dump cake that combines deep flavors of pecan pie with a simple baking process, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 package yellow cake mix (about 1516 oz)
  • 1 cup pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and corn syrup until well mixed.
  3. Spread the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the syrup mixture.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix evenly.
  6. Sprinkle pecans on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the syrup mixture. This cake pairs well with vanilla ice cream.
