- 4 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine crushed pretzels, shredded cheddar, and breadcrumbs; mix well.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the mustard-mayo mixture, then press into the pretzel mixture to coat evenly.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment or a lightly greased rack.
- Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
Notes
Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. For extra-crispy finish, broil 1–2 minutes at the end. If using yogurt instead of mayo, add a teaspoon of oil for better adhesion.
