Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 34 roasted jalapeños, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with chopped roasted jalapeños, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On the unbuttered side of two slices, spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Place the other slices of bread on top, butter side facing out.
  6. Grill the sandwiches in the skillet until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, flipping them once.
  7. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

Use thick-cut bread like sourdough or Texas toast for best results. Experiment with adding spices like cumin or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
