Description

Crisp and vibrant green beans sautéed with garlic, making a delightful side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and trim the ends of the green beans.
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for about 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  3. Drain the beans and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  6. Add the drained green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and olive oil.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  8. Serve warm as a scrumptious side dish.

Notes

Keep an eye on the green beans during blanching; you want them tender-crisp for the best texture.
