- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Nori sheets, for serving
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Optional: Avocado slices or cucumber for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch, then cook it in 2 1/2 cups of water according to package instructions.
- Mix the spicy mayo by combining mayonnaise and sriracha in a bowl until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flaked salmon, sliced green onions, and soy sauce. Stir gently until mixed.
- Once the sushi rice is cooked, spread it evenly in a baking dish, creating a flat layer.
- Layer the spicy mayo over the rice, spreading it evenly, then top it with the salmon mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
- Serve with nori sheets, garnished with sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
Notes
For a vegan version, replace the salmon with roasted vegetables or firm tofu and use vegan mayo for the spicy topping.
