A cozy dish filled with creamy ricotta and spinach, baked in marinara sauce and topped with melted mozzarella.

- 12 large pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, spinach, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Fill each pasta shell with the cheese and spinach mixture.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the shells.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
