Description
Delicious holiday cookies featuring a rich combination of semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture until well combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts if you’re using them.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Avoid overmixing the dough to keep the cookies tender and chewy. Check doneness by looking for golden edges and a slightly soft center.
