Description

Delicious holiday cookies featuring a rich combination of semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture until well combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts if you’re using them.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the dough to keep the cookies tender and chewy. Check doneness by looking for golden edges and a slightly soft center.
