  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, water, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour the marinade into a shallow dish, add catfish fillets, and turn to coat. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a large resealable bag, combine cornmeal, flour, and seafood seasoning.
  4. Remove fillets from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Add fillets to the bag and shake to coat evenly.
  5. Pour vegetable oil into a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pan and heat to 365°F (185°C).
