Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup jelly (grape or strawberry)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the peanut butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the jelly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
