- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup jelly (grape or strawberry)
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the peanut butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the jelly over the batter, then top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
